Agentic AI Moves Beyond Vibe Coding to Tackle Enterprise Software Development

Agentic AI is beginning to play a larger role in enterprise software engineering, moving beyond simple code generation and “vibe coding” toward more complex system development tasks. LG CNS, a multi-national IT services and consulting firm, and Cline, a developer of an open-source, agentic AI coding assistant, together launch "Cline Spec Driven for Enterprise," a new agentic AI platform designed to automate the entire lifecycle of large-scale enterprise IT system development and operations.

The key difference from vibe coding is orchestration. Rather than a single model generating code on demand, specialised AI agents collaborate seamlessly across each stage of the development process, from analysing customer requirements and system design, through to coding, testing, and quality assurance. A user simply describes what they need in plain language, and the agents handle the rest.

Central to the platform is what LG CNS calls a Knowledge Foundation, an ontology database that structures enterprise system knowledge, including development standards, security policies, source code, and development artefacts, into a format AI can understand. This lets the platform learn an organisation's specific systems and business context, reducing hallucinations and ensuring consistent output quality.
