.NET Patch Coming Tuesday

Microsoft will be releasing a patch for the .NET Framework on Tuesday as part of its regularly scheduled monthly security update.

According to an advanced notification bulletin released Thursday, the patch will fix a flaw with .NET that has a security rating of "moderate."

The .NET patch is just one of 11 that will come Tuesday -- six are planned for Windows and four for Office. At least two of those patches will be rated "critical."

Microsoft said it will not provide further details about any of the upcoming patches until they are released Tuesday.
