“Neurals haven’t found their way into the marketing side too much yet. Marketing people don’t like the black-box approach of neurals. If an analytic [method] works, they want to know how.”

“The market is evolving. The next step is enterprise analytical ‘decisioning.’ That means doing analytics and decisions across the board.”

“Also a trend is the expansion of the scope in data mining, in the types of data handled. Companies are trying to access their unstructured data call center notes, for example.”
