NTT Resonant Inc. added automated iOS testing to its Appium-based cloud testing service.
That service, called Remote TestKit, provides mobile app testing on real devices in the cloud.
The service is based on Appium, an open source test automation framework for use with native, hybrid and mobile Web apps. Remote TestKit has been offered to mobile developers where Appium Automated Testing Cloud is available since June, providing testing without the need to set up user-side test servers.
While the service previously worked only for Android device testing, the company this week announced the new support for iOS 10 and later versions. On the Android side, version 4.4 and later are supported.
In addition, the company said, the service, supporting Appium 1.8, will now support Appium 1.7.2 also.
NTT Resonant said it offers flexible plans for public Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), enterprise on-premises and hosted solutions.
