With a new "free-forever" mobile analytics tool, PacketZoom claims to offer the first end-to-end platform for performance management and optimization.
Called Mobile IQ, the new tool -- now in a beta program -- is being added to the company's portfolio of Mobile Application Performance Management and Optimization (APMO) wares and will be integrated into its flagship Mobile Expresslane platform. That software-defined solution provides network analytics and monitoring, along with reportedly speeding up delivery of static site content, API calls, third-party SDKs and ads via its own device-based protocol.
Even though Mobile IQ integrates with the company's platform, PacketZoom said it will always be available for free data, analytics, control and monitoring. The company said it provides real-time data collection and display, alerting of performance issues, and control and content prioritization.
"As networking experts, our mission is to empower developers with a modern data collection and mobile networking stack so they can finally gain full visibility to app behavior and control it in real time," said CEO Shlomi Glan in a statement. "Many APM solutions were originally created for Web and ported to mobile apps. After talking to hundreds of developers, we've decided to launch an affordable mobile-only solution. By affordable we mean free forever."
The company is now accepting developers into the Mobile IQ beta program at the link provided above.
