Building Real-Time Systems: From Sensor Data to Natural Language Queries
Date: Tuesday, February 10 at 11am PT / 2pm ET
This talk showcases a live, Python-based demo using Plant Buddy, an open source project that streams realtime sensor data into InfluxDB 3 and enables natural language queries via an MCP server. While demonstrated with plant health data, the same architecture applies to application health monitoring, system telemetry and IoT platforms.
We’ll walk through a simple realtime pipeline: data ingestion, time series modelling, and querying live data using both code and natural language. The session highlights how InfluxDB 3 enables low-latency analytics and how MCP makes real-time data easier to explore. The talk will include a live demo where we will ask questions like “Is the system healthy right now?” and get instant answers backed by real time data pipeline.
