Cortex, a provider of internal developer portal software, has joined AWS's Independent ISV Accelerate Program, the company announced on Tuesday, gaining access to AWS's co-selling network and marketplace.
The partnership allows AWS sales teams to recommend Cortex's developer portal platform to enterprise customers, while making the software available for purchase through AWS Marketplace. The move comes as companies increasingly invest in tools designed to improve software development efficiency and standardize engineering practices.
Internal developer portals have emerged as a crucial component of enterprise software development infrastructure, offering centralized dashboards that enable developers to access resources, track projects, and adhere to organizational best practices. The market has grown as companies strive to minimize friction in software development processes and enhance developer productivity.
"This partnership helps shared customers accelerate their development projects," Cortex said in a statement, citing use cases including application modernization, development workflow optimization, and compliance management.
The AWS ISV Accelerate Program requires software vendors to undergo evaluation and meet specified technical standards before acceptance. Members gain access to AWS's global sales organization and can participate in joint go-to-market activities.
For AWS, the partnership expands its ecosystem of third-party tools that complement its cloud infrastructure services. The company has been building out its marketplace and partner programs as it competes with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud for enterprise customers.
Cortex's platform allows engineering teams to catalog AWS resources alongside third-party services in a unified interface. The integration enables developers to create and manage cloud infrastructure while maintaining visibility across their technology stack.
The announcement reflects broader enterprise investment in developer experience tools. Companies have increased spending on platforms that promise to simplify software development and enhance team productivity, particularly as organizations manage larger and more distributed engineering teams.
Cortex plans to demonstrate its platform at AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas in December, the company said. The vendor is also organizing IDPCON, a conference focused on internal developer portals, scheduled for October.
