Hewlett Packard Enterprise Launches HPE Private Cloud AI

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced the launch of HPE Private Cloud AI, a platform designed to streamline the deployment of GenAI applications for businesses of all sizes. Developed in collaboration with NVIDIA as part of the "NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE" lineup, this cloud-based, ready-to-use solution was designed to simplify and accelerate the development and implementation of AI-powered virtual assistants and other AI applications.

The new platform offers a fully integrated, cloud-based solution driven by open-source large language models (LLMs) from NVIDIA. Currently, the first available solution accelerator is a GenAI-powered virtual assistant that enables companies to quickly create and launch chatbots capable of responding to questions in natural language. These virtual assistants are customized using a company’s internal data, allowing tailored solutions to meet specific business requirements, such as technical support, generating sales quotes, or crafting marketing content.

Additionally, HPE has indicated that the virtual assistant’s capabilities will continue to grow. Future updates are expected to introduce multi-agent support, voice interaction, and image processing, further enhancing the platform’s ability to handle complex tasks such as content creation and multi-task execution.

The announcement marks a significant step for enterprises grappling with the complexities of AI adoption by offering a suite of solution accelerators that reduce deployment timelines from months to seconds, said HPE CTO Fidelma Russo, in a statement.

"Businesses are deploying GenAI in an environment where they are simultaneously under pressure to begin quickly and show real value, Russo said. "However, implementing AI applications requires organizations to string together various models, datasets, tools, and other resources. Solution accelerators are a key differentiator within HPE Private Cloud AI, simplifying a project that could take months to deploy and consolidating that timeline down to a single moment for the enterprise."

Future solution accelerators will cater to industry-specific needs, the company says, allowing enterprises to leverage pre-built AI models and continually refine them using real-time feedback.

HPE's close collaboration with NVIDIA is a central aspect of this launch. NVIDIA’s NIM Agent Blueprints and reference AI use cases, will form the foundation for several upcoming solution accelerators, which will allow enterprises to refine AI applications based on their evolving needs. These blueprints serve as templates, enabling enterprises to continuously improve their AI models through a cycle of human feedback and machine learning.

"Enterprises are looking for accelerated, customized AI tools to meet the needs of their company-specific use cases," said Justin Boitano, VP of Enterprise AI Software Products at NVIDIA, in a statement. "NVIDIA NIM Agent Blueprints allow AI applications developed with HPE Private Cloud AI to be refined using human feedback, improving models in a continuous learning cycle."

The solution accelerators introduced by HPE are designed to significantly reduce the time and complexity associated with deploying AI applications. These low-code or no-code solutions are modular and customizable, offering enterprises flexibility in their AI strategies. By running on HPE Private Cloud AI, managed through the HPE GreenLake cloud, the accelerators provide end-to-end security, including data isolation and enterprise-grade safeguards.

The typical deployment of AI applications often requires the integration of numerous tools and resources, including AI models, datasets, microservices, and data warehouses. HPE’s solution accelerators simplify this process, reducing the need for specialized skills and minimizing operational complexity. The pre-validated solutions also offer scalability, allowing businesses to grow their AI applications over time without the need for constant reconfiguration.

HPE also introduced its "Unleash AI" partner program, a new initiative aimed at fostering a rich ecosystem of partners, including independent software vendors (ISVs), system integrators, and service providers. As part of the HPE Partner Ready’s Technology Partner Program, Unleash AI is designed to support customers in the advisory, design, and implementation stages of AI application deployment. All solutions developed through the program will be pre-validated to run on HPE Private Cloud AI, the company says. HPE expects the Unleash AI partner ecosystem to accelerate innovation across multiple layers of the AI stack, from data and models to full-stack customer solutions.

"The Unleash AI program will enable organizations to connect with leading software providers and integrators to address their unique AI challenges," Russo said. "By leveraging curated, pre-validated partner solutions, enterprises will be able to quickly deploy AI applications with the confidence that they will work seamlessly within their existing infrastructures."

The program complements HPE's broader AI partner strategy and is aligned with the company's collaboration with NVIDIA.
