Mobile App Analytics Tool Adds Power BI Integration

The appFigures mobile app analytics platform has been integrated with Microsoft Power BI to bring new business intelligence capabilities to bear on the app store data it gathers, the company announced today.

The appFigures app store intelligence offering analyzes a range of metrics -- such as downloads, revenue, returns, ranks, ratings and so on -- to provide developers and publishers with near-real-time information. It draws on more than 30 data sources, including the iOS App Store and Google Play, Amazon and Windows app stores, along with many ad networks, such as Apple's iAd and Google's Admob.

Now that data can be accessed via Power BI, which enables users to investigate business performance with live operational dashboards and explore data with interactive visual reports, while sharing new insights with colleagues and customers.

The company said the Power BI integration for the first time provides app store analytics as a data source for the Microsoft tool, so developers can now create custom dashboards using the data to understand app performance better.

"Making actionable app store data accessible is one of our core missions, and through this partnership we are able to take another great step towards that ideal," appFigures CEO Ariel Michaeli said.

Microsoft exec James Phillips also chimed in on the new agreement. "With this integration, our users are now able to monitor and analyze an impressive set of app store metrics -- from app download data to ratings to ad clicks and revenue -- all with rich and interactive visual dashboards," Phillips said "Power BI also makes it easy to combine appFigures data with data from other sources for additional insight across the business."

The appFigures platform also integrates with other data dashboards, such as Adobe Analytics, Geckoboard and Dash, among others. It has several pricing plans, ranging from free to $49.99 per user per month.
