New way to do SOA from webMethods

webMethods has taken the wraps off webMethods Access, a new component of webMethods Fabric, which is designed to give enterprises a framework for the rapid assembly of new processes from existing apps and Web services.
Key elements of this composite app dev environment include: visual assembly tools; a user management system that includes personalization capabilities and role-based security; and out-of-the-box collaboration, community and document management features, webMethods says in a release.
According to the company, developers can use webMethods Access to quickly build user interfaces and customized business dashboards, allowing users to define their own personal workspace for accessing and organizing transactional apps and data in structured and unstructured forms.
The new component provides users with a standards-based presentation layer so they can intuitively visualize, navigate and manage the apps and services underlying their key business processes while also providing them with centralized access to the diverse range of information, organizations and people at the core of these processes, the company says. As a result, it can be used to consistently and collaboratively address the user interaction requirements of an SOA.
