LogicLibrary and AgilePath announced on Monday that the two companies will
incorporate AgilePath’s SOA Playbook methodology into Logidex’s
metadata repository. The combined offering is intended to be an out-of-the-box
solution for service identification and modeling combined with SOA governance
and enablement.
Logidex’s metadata repository for SDAs enables enterprises to govern
the production process for reusable components, Web services and other assets.
AgilePath's SOA Playbook is a process for identifying, prioritizing and modeling
business services. Integrating AgilePath's SOA Playbook with Logidex enables
developers and architects to implement SOA faster, and ensures that the new
applications and software assets will work within enterprise architectures and
frameworks, the two companies claim.
Integrating AgilePath's SOA Playbook with Logidex makes for a solution that
brings top-down and bottom-up processes together, using Logidex's Graphical
Reference Model and Smart Controls, the companies say. This combined methodology
features a top-down approach including service identification and modeling that
results in the creation of a reference model or service map that accurately
depicts critical business services, along with a bottom-up approach focusing
on automating appropriate SOA governance and design-time policy enforcement
over the targeted services.
LogicLibrary makes it possible for organizations to govern the entire production
process throughout the software development lifecycle. This helps customers
maintain control of enterprise development assets, improve time to market and
maximize technology investments, according to LogicLibrary.
