It’s a hypothesis that has worried many a middle-manager whose infrastructure/product suite/project/PDA relies on Linux: what if Linus Torvalds were to get hit by a bus tomorrow? (Or indeed next Tuesday?)
Echoing that concern, the people at Segfault.org have carried out an empirical study to answer the worrying question once and for all.
Their conclusions and recommendations make a lot of sense, e.g.: "Due to Torvalds' development skills and acknowledged importance to the Linux community, we hereby recommend that Linus Torvalds be kept out of the path of oncoming buses. Also, his muffin intake should be monitored."
