The Kony Inc. mobile app development platform is getting new performance analytics capabilities via a partnership with SOASTA.
The partners will integrate their technologies and combine their expertise so users of the Kony Mobility Platform can test, monitor, measure and optimize the performance of their apps.
The open, standards-based Kony Mobility Platform supports the complete app software development lifecycle (SDLC), the company said, including design, coding, deployment and management.
Now it will be integrated with tools from SOASTA, such as TouchTest for multi-touch, gesture-based apps; CloudTest for load testing; and mPulse for performance data of Web and mobile apps.
Kony and SOASTA said their partnership provides the following:
- Mobile test automation eliminates manual testing delays and accelerates time-to-market with TouchTest.
- Continuous performance testing at speed and scale with CloudTest federates millions of cloud-based servers from major cloud providers.
- Access to hundreds of real mobile devices through the cloud for testing at all phases of mobile development, with SOASTA Mobile Device Cloud.
- Real User Monitoring (RUM) validates each UX in real time and correlates real user activity to business metrics through performance analytics, with SOASTA mPulse.
"The combined Kony and SOASTA offering delivers an expanded, comprehensive new generation mobile DevOps lifecycle support, including design prototyping, rapid development, functional test automation, back-end integration, deployment, user monitoring and advanced mobile real-time analytics," Kony said in a statement.
DevOps is a holistic development approach emphasizing the end-to-end cooperation of dev and other IT teams, such as quality assurance and operations, in project lifecycles.
The new offering is available on the Kony Marketplace.
