HP Boosts SOA Management Offerings

On Tuesday, Hewlett Packard announced several upgrades to its products aimed at managing and testing service-oriented architecture (SOA) deployments.

According to the company, it has added upgraded versions of its HP Service Test and HP Service Test Management modules to its Quality Management for SOA line of products. The company did not detail what's new in the updated versions, but said the additions mean that "[t]esting is fully integrated with HP's extended software portfolio to ensure ongoing quality and management across the service lifecycle."

HP's SOA Management line also has three new featured modules, including HP Business Availability Center (BAC) for SOA, which "manages shared services seamlessly within the existing operational infrastructure and processes used by IT"; and HP SOA Policy Enforcer, which "monitor[s] and enforc[es] security, performance and other operational requirements" and then feeds that data into the third new module, HP Diagnostics for SOA.

"HP delivers an integrated solution that includes SOA governance, quality and management. Our modular approach gives customers the confidence to quickly progress from initial SOA pilots through to enterprise-scale deployments," commented HP's Director of SOA Products Tim Hall in a statement.
