Components for SOAs and Other App Dev Projects

The result of the partnership between LogicLibrary and TopCoder reached earlier this year is that TopCoder’s components for Java and .NET are now stored in Logidex, LogicLibrary's collaborative SDA management solution.

According to LogicLibrary, the integration gives application developers and architects resources for delivering custom applications built from reusable software components. The TopCoder Component Catalog includes a graphical reference model organizing both .NET and Java-based components across multiple functional areas including administration, file management and user profile administration. Logidex Asset Center, which is free, gives registered users access to key SDAs and is accessible at Logidex Asset Center.

The partnership intends to provide enterprises building SOAs and other development projects with reusable components and services. Customers of the two companies can choose to receive automated updates of TopCoder components directly to their own Logidex libraries, to ensure they have information about TopCoder's components. In addition to discovering and managing internal software assets, Logidex users will also be able to search the TopCoder Component Catalog for .NET and J2EE software assets.

According to the company, Logidex serves as an SOA governance platform across the application development lifecycle from functional requirements through design and development to operations and deployment. It gives businesses and government organizations the ability to manage and control the design, development and consumption of services throughout the distributed enterprise. Logidex features tight integration with all major development environments, including Eclipse, IBM Rational Application Developer, IBM Rational Software Architect, IBM Rational Software Modeler, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and SAP NetWeaver.

In addition to the TopCoder Component Catalog, the Logidex Asset Center provides access to Sun Microsystems' Java Platform, Enterprise Edition Core Patterns, Microsoft .NET-based best practices and assets, Microsoft Enterprise Library, and the Federal Enterprise Architecture Reference Models and assets.
