Tibco, Defywire Strike BMP Partnership

Tibco Software and Defywire announced a new partnership to offer Tibco customers real-time access to business processes via wireless devices, using Defywire’s mobile Java-based software.

The Defywire Mobility Suite and Tibco’s business process management products would allow customers to deploy wireless apps through a secure, reliable application architecture that takes advantage of a company’s existing information technology investments, the two companies say. The partnership will enable Tibco BPM products such as Staffware Process Suite to work with any wireless device on any combination of mobile networks. Tibco’s BPM products are deployed at more than 800 customer sites, with more than 500,000 users.

Organizations with mobile workforces will have more insight and control over business processes, no matter where information is accessed, according to the Tibco.

Defywire allows companies to deploy mobile apps with data synchronization and information transfer in real time. The company’s mobile Java-based software works with wireless devices, including phones, PDAs and laptops, and any technology, such as Wi-Fi, cellular, GPS and radio frequency identification.

“The mobile workforce is becoming more and more critical to business success, and sharing information is both a competitive advantage and a way to improve operational efficiency,” says Jill Stelfox, chairwoman and CEO of Defywire. “The intent of this partnership will enable Defywire customers to securely and remotely access the business-critical information provided by Tibco’s…business integration technologies.”
