PVCS provider Merant announced the integration of PVCS Dimensions and PVCS
Version Manager with the latest version of IBM's WebSphere Studio. PVCS software
is also now certified as part of IBM's Ready For WebSphere Studio Software
validation program ... Meanwhile, BI software house MicroStrategy announced that
the MicroStrategy Web Universal product, released in Q4/2002, is available on
IBM's WebSphere Application Server and AIX operating systems ... Web services
middleware maker Systinet announced that John Seely Brown, former director of
the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), has joined the company's board of
directors. Brown will play a role in setting Systinet's long-term technology
strategy and direction ... Quest Software announced the release of the Vista
Plus Suite, Version 5.0. The suite provides fixed-content delivery services both
inside and outside the firewall, as well as over e-mail and to printers. Quest
Software's Vista Plus Suite combines electronic document archival and retrieval
with print device management ... Franz Inc. has launched a Lisp-based E-Commerce
Module -- just in 'time for the holidays,' notes a company release. Lisp-based
OO tool vendor Franz has launched an online store, exclusively built using
Allegro CL and AllegroServe. The Franz Store offers a one-stop shopping
experience for all things Lisp. With promotional wear covering the full spectrum
of t-shirts, sweatshirts and baseball caps. Soon to be added to the store: Lisp
books and software.
