Terracotta Forms Global Partner Network

The Terracotta solution enables the clustering of Java Virtual Machines (JVMs). Applications can be deployed on multiple JVMs while working together as if they were running on the same JVM. This approach can be used for applications HTTP session clustering, distributed caches, clustered open source software frameworks, workload distribution and plain old Java objects (POJO) clustering.

The solution is offered as a free download from Terracotta's open source community, Open Terraccotta. There also a commercial Terracotta cousin offered through the corporate site, which comes with support and updates.

Terracotta's partners provide predeployment consulting services, and they deploy, configure and fine-tuning customer implementations of Terracotta.

Existing partners in the Terracotta network include Pramati business unit MiddlewareWorks, Sourcesense, Sumisho Computer Systems, Anchor Blue and Keen Research. Recent additions include:

• Cygni, a Java apps consulting firm.
• Webtide, the main developers of the open source Java Web container called Jetty.
• U1 Technologies, a firm that combines Java developers and consultants, serving financial services customers.
• Black Pepper Software, experts in E-business implementation.
• K-Tech, a firm consisting of Java developers and consultants.

Terracotta maintains a training and certification program to ensure that its partners are adept with Terracotta. Partners get priority support from Terracotta's technical team when helping clients purchase enterprise subscriptions.
