IronGrid unveils IronTrack SQL

IronGrid Inc., which provides tools that help Java developers improve software performance, has unveiled IronTrack SQL. An intuitive tool that allows developers to establish an application's JDBC performance history over time, IronTrack SQL generates data comparisons that can pinpoint the cause of SQL performance delays.

IronTrack SQL allows programmers to search for problems resulting from query interactions, or to locate unexplained spikes in database utilization. By displaying a Gantt-style chart of queries as they occur over time, users can develop an understanding of the exact behavior of an application's database activity.

With IronTrack SQL, development teams can: * Overlay and compare query performance and activity between two or more sets of query performance data;

* Search for performance problems that result from query interactions, such as when two queries are executed at the same time; and

* Run automated local unit tests to check for a build's variance from an established performance baseline.

For development teams requiring multiuser monitoring of query performance, IronGrid has introduced an enhanced server version of IronTrack SQL. IronGrid's first server-based product, IronTrack SQL-Server Edition leverages enhanced Ant task functionality to automate performance testing and problem detection throughout the build process. With the Server Edition, development teams can ensure that all code contributed to every build is automatically subjected to performance tests.
