IBM today said it has acquired privately held Holosofx Inc. (http://www.holosofx.xom), an El Segundo,
Calif.-based maker of business integration software. Financial details weren't
disclosed. The Holosofx business process modeling and monitoring tools become
part of IBM's WebSphere Business Integration platform. The move marks the third
integration software maker acquired by IBM in the last nine months --
CrossWorlds Software was acquired in January, while Metamerge was acquired in
June ... ThinkingBytes (http://www.thinkingbytes.com), a
Lexington, Mass.-based start-up of a mobile development platform slated to be
unveiled next week, has named industry veteran John Landry to the post of chief
executive. Landry previously held executive posts at IBM/Lotus, Cullinet
Software, Anyday.com and D&B Software ... TogetherSoft Corp. (http://www.togethersoft.com), Raleigh,
N.C., named Jeffrey Lunsford president and CEO. He replaces John Vrolyk who has
served as the interim CEO of TogetherSoft since February 2002. Lunsford joins
TogetherSoft from S1 Corp where he served as senior VP of corporate development.
Prior to joining S1, Lunsford was president and co-founder of Brintech Inc., a
bank technology consulting firm.
