Parasoft Adds Manual Testing to Agile Tool

Parasoft recently announced it has added manual testing integration to its Concerto for Agile software development and management tool.
The company said in a news release that the new functionality provides "a 360-degree view of manual test and verification efforts by automatically correlating the manual test to requirements, code, tasks, development owner, QA owner, build and artifacts."
The new integration lets users test actions that require human involvement, such as user acceptance testing, according to the company's Web site. Step-by-step scenarios can be assigned to tasks stored in the software, and users can view subsequent reports that indicate what scenarios passed or failed the tests, and also drill down into individual scenarios to see in which steps failures occurred, for example.
"For Agile development environments, time and focus count,” company Vice President Wayne Ariola told this site. "The Parasoft manual testing environment highlights the tests that need to be re-tested due to code changes impacting scenario under test. This is a tremendous time saver. It allows the QA and development team to not only remain in sync, but also to prioritize their testing effort on the most critical changes."
Last month the company announced the release of Concerto for Agile.
